I graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1982 with a BA (Hons) in Drawing & Painting and, following winning an Elizabeth Greenshield Travelling Scholarship for Artists in 1983, I travelled throughout North India and Nepal.  Following a long successful career in university administration I returned to my first passion, for painting.  My work is almost entirely done in oil paint.  I am a member of the Scottish Society of Artists.

In recent years I have exhibited my works in the Torrance Gallery, Edinburgh, Gallery Q, Dundee and in the Gairloch Museum and my works are in private collections in the UK, France, USA and China.
